A self-taught painter, George has been exhibiting since 1989. A knife acrylic technique is his favourite, as it allows him to paint by multi-coloured stroke and to realize abstract conceptual work, sometimes dense, sometimes purified. He defines himself as a colourist and it is by colour that we enter George’s world.
He likes travelling; he observes; he impregnates himself into an atmosphere of light and shadow; he renews himself in a certain continuity and modernism.
Georges has got the assured gesture and the approach of a free painter. Being secret, the innovative artist invites us to contemplate his paintings to make us discover his perception of a world which invites us to escapism.
GECA is the name with which he signs his paintings, and by which he has become well known, having exhibited in China, the USA and across the world. In 2014 he was invited to exhibit at the Linley Gallery in Pimlico, where he met with great acclaim. He participates at various art fair every year.
Georges Cabot has his studio in Grimaud, near St Tropez in the South of France.
